The event was organized by the Cambodian Fencing Federation and aimed to promote the sport of fencing in line with the government's policy to encourage youth participation in sports. The championship saw the participation of 159 fencers from 11 clubs and 7 nationalities, including Cambodia, the Philippines, France, the United States, Vietnam, India, and Indonesia. The competition was divided into various age categories (U13, Cadet, and Senior) and weapon categories (Epee, Foil, and Sabre). Notable results included multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals won by Cambodian fencers, particularly from clubs like HOSANNA, Oknha Tey, and Tiger Fencing Club.
