Olga Starting the Qualification Plan in Preparation for the LA28

The World Cup for Foil event is taking place from October 15 to October 18, 2026, in Takamatsu, Japan. It is an official competition organized by the International Fencing Federation (FIE), marking the start of the new 2026–2027 season.

This tournament is the first competition of the 2026–2027 season for Olga as she prepares to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games. Previously, her work and ongoing Master’s degree studies had interrupted her training schedule. However, since last June, Olga has dedicated time to training and competing in official International Fencing Federation events to sharpen her skills and prepare for the 2028 Olympic qualification events.

According to the regulations of the International Fencing Federation and the International Olympic Committee, the official Olympic Qualification System period will start from April 1, 2027, to April 1, 2028. Qualifying events include:

• Grand Prix competitions

• World Cup competitions

• Satellite competitions

• World Championships

• Asian Championships

• Qualifier matches

Meanwhile, Olga has already set her competition schedule through mid-2027 and formulated her plan with the full approval of the Fencing Federation of Cambodia.
