Technical Meeting for the 3rd National University and Technical Secondary School Games

Phnom Penh, 5 June 2026

Mr. Sok Ang, Chairman of the Fencing Competition Organizing Committee for the 3rd National University and Technical Secondary School Games, on the evening of June 5, 2026, on the 5th floor of the Olympia Mall.

Representatives from eight universities attended the meeting to receive additional information and to finalize the roster of students participating in the competition.

During the meeting, Mr. Sok Ang emphasized that due to the strict enforcement of competition regulations by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport—aimed at identifying outstanding student-athletes and ensuring Fair Play—he urged all universities to discuss any issues with the federation to find solutions in accordance with fencing rules and regulations.

He further specified the following key points:

  1. International Standards: The competition will be organized according to international standards, with medal ceremonies held daily. Therefore, he requested all university representatives to attend the competition every day, particularly during the semi-finals and finals.

  2. Punctuality & Forfeits: The competition schedule will begin at 9:00 AM, but all athletes must arrive to verify their names 30 minutes prior to their match. If an athlete is absent 10 minutes after the match begins, they will be considered to have forfeited the match.

  3. Event Limits: The rules of the competition will be applied similarly to the SEA Games; however, each athlete is permitted to compete in a maximum of two events only.

  4. Final Briefing: This technical meeting serves as the final briefing regarding the general information of each athlete and the events they will compete in.

Finally, he requested all universities to advise their athletes to maintain hygiene and orderliness at both the competition venue and their accommodations, and to assist in facilitating lunch arrangements for them as well.
